About:China Visa Renewal and Extension

i have a business M type to china i want to inquire if i can change the visa to a student X type

and does it require i have to exit first

Martin, it is possible for you to change the business M type to a student X type within China. You can try to do that at the exit and entry administration of the local public security bureau. If it can be done, you don’t need to exit.
