About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Indian passport,traveling Paris-Tokyo,22 hrs transit at shanghai.airline gives hotel.do I need visa?

Chirac, no, you don’t need it. You are eligible for the 24 hour direct transit in Shanghai. When you arrive, you can go to the immigration office inside the airport to apply for a temporary stay permit which is free is free of charge, and then you can leave the airport to stay at a hotel.
