About:240-hour Visa-free Transit in Qingdao

Dutch passport traveling from Asian country

I'm from the Netherlands and want to visit Qingdao for 2 days for business. I'm staying in Vietnam though and travel from here. It's a Saigon - Qingdao - Saigon. Am I eligible for the 144 hour visa free.

Tonny, here we have two problematic situations:

1) There are no direct flights between HCMC and QD
2) Your itinerary is just a round trip and not a transit.

You are not eligible for any kind of visa free transit with this itinerary. I suggest you to use an airports in eligible territories around mainland China. For example, an eligible itinerary for 144 hour visa free transit is:

HCMC - Hong Kong - QD
QD - Taipei - HCMC

It is essential that the immediate points before and after QD are in different countries or eligible territories and not in mainland China.
