About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

VISA question

I am American green card holder, with a Trinidad and Tobago passport. I would be traveling to Singapore from New York and have a layover on Beijing. Do I need to apply for an entry permit? Or can I get one on entry in Beijing?

Yemonja, if your layover time in Beijing is not more than 24 hours, you will be able to enjoy the 24 hour direct transit in Beijing. And then you don’t need to apply for a visa.
