About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

USA to Tokyo for 3 days then fly to Shanghai for 4 days and then fly to Hong Kong then fly to Austra

Can I receive the 144 hour free transit coming from the USA to Tokyo to Shanghai and stay 4 days in Shanghai then fly to Hong Kong and stay there for 3 days the fly to Australia then back to the USA. Do I need a visa that's longer then 144? Any in-site or suggestions would be very greatful.

Jack, yes, you will be able to enjoy the 144 hour free transit in Shanghai if you travel like that. No visa will be needed then.
