About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Does 72 hour Visa free transit apply for me?

I have a flight coming up and not sure if the 72-hour free transit applies to me.

My first flight is leaving from Bangkok to Changsha with Thai Smile airline

2 hour layover
My next flight leaves from Changsha to Beijing with Hainan Airlines

2 hour layover
My last flight leaves from Beijing to Prague with Hainan Airlines

I'm flying with an Irish passport. I currently do not have a Visa from China.
Do I quality for the 72 hour Visa free transit?
Thanks,
-Eric

Eric, no, the 72 hour free transit cannot cover your trip. However, if you stop in Changsha and Beijing for less than 24 hours, you can use the 24 hour direct transit. No visa will be needed then.

Thank you for your response.
My total time in China will be 13 hours.
Since this is less than 24 hours, does this mean I will not need a visa?
Thanks,
-Eric
