How do I qualify for 144h visa free stay?

Attending Meeting in Shanghai June 2017. Arriving Shanghai from Hong Kong 10:30am Sat 03 June, leave for Hong Kong 14:30pm The 08 June. Do I need a visa?

Yes, you need it because you arrive from HK to Shanghai and then leave for HK. This is not a transit actually.
