About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Shanghai 144h visa free

Hi this is our itinerary:
London to Shanghai via Beijing and same on the return journey.

We will go back to london via beijing less than 144 hrs later. Is Shanghai still considered as transit even though is our final destination? Can we also take some time in Beijing using the 72hrs visa? We hold italian passports. Thanks

That's not transit at all, so you'll need a visa.
