Can I do Boston to Beijing for 2 days, to Honk Kong for 4 days, then back to Beijing 1 day>leave?

The total time in Beijing would be under 72 hours, but it would be split into two days and then one day several days later. Its much cheaper to fly back to Beijing and then to Boston than it is to fly from Hong Kong to Boston.
