About:Shanghai 15-day Visa-free Policy for Cruise Tour Groups

Free visa for Shanghi

We are on a cruise in April this year. We stop in Shanghi for one day. The rest of the cruise is Taiwan and Japan where a Visa is not needed for a British subject. We have booked an excursion that the ship advertises to tour Shangi that day.
Are we eligible for the free 15 day visa? If so do I have to apply for it somewhere.

Yes, I think you are eligible. You just need to apply for it upon arrival at the port of call in Shanghai.
