i have a valid chinese resident permit but i'm applying for new passport

Hi there, I currently have a Valid Resident permit till Sept 2017 on my current passport, but my passport pages are exhausted and I'm applying for a new one at my local embassy but once I receive my new passport do I need to transfer my current resident permit to the new passport? And in case I do need to do that what documents need and where should I do it?Kind Regards

If so, you need to transfer your current residence permit to the new passport. You need to provide your passport, the old passport and residence permit, the application form, a passport-style photo, and other documents required by the consular officers. You need to go to the exit and entry administration of the local PSB to do that.
