About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Travelling from Bangkok, over 2 Chinese ports to EU

Hi guys,
I have 1 flight ticket with multiple stops from Bangkok to Prague. The routing is: BKK - KMG - PVG - PRG.
My first port of entry is Kunming but I will stay in the transit area. In Shanghai I have 13 hours layover. Reading through the posts and conditions, I am not eligible to apply for 144 h transit visa. Can you confirm that?
Thanks a lot

Michal

Michal, yes, you are not eligible for the 144 hour free transit, but if your total layover time in China is not exceeding 24 hours, you will be able to use the 24 hour direct transit. No visa will be needed either then.

Thanks Marie,
24 hrs direct transit also allow me to go for sightseeing right? The total stay on the ground is 7 hrs in Kunming and 13 hours in Shanghai. Reading through I will need Temporary entry permit which I can get on arrival, hopefully.
Thanks

Yes, you can also go for sightseeing when using the 24 hour direct transit, but you first need to apply for a free temporary stay permit at the airport.
