About:China Visa

I am in the U.S. with a valid passport and want to visit a female friend in China (China citizen).

Would that be a "Q" type Visa and what are the requirements, if so?

Scott, only when you married that Chinese citizen, you can apply for a Q type. Otherwise, you can apply for a tourist L type by proving your passport and its copy, the application form attached with a passport-style photo, and an invitation letter from your Chinese female friend.
