About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

I am flying from U.K. To shanghai -

I am staying in shanghai for two nights then going on cruise ship for 16 days flying home from Hong Kong. Am I exempt from a visa under the 72/144 hour rule

Mgt, you can get the 144 hour free transit in Shanghai.
