Chinese passport holder entering Hong Kong

Good day, we have a Chinese passport holder travelling from London to Beijing (staying for 2 weeks), Beijing to Hong Kong and back to London via Beijing (in transit for 2 1/2 hours). Will they require a visa for Hong Kong?

An entry permit for HK may not be required, but you’d better confirm that with the embassy of China in UK because you will have a 2.5 hours stop in Beijing when you return.
