About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Transit policy

I have an Indian passport but will be travelling from New Zealand to bejing with a 22 hour stop over in Benjing & then a flight to India.
Will the 24 Hour policy be applicable to me and if yes does it mean I can go out of the airport for sightseeing ?

Thanks
Rachelle M

Rachelle, yes, the 24 hour direct transit is applicable to you. You can go out of the airport for sightseeing as long as you apply for a temporary stay permit which is free of charge at the immigration office inside the airport.
