About:Beijing Capital Airport T3

19 hour layover and a visa requirement? Staying at the Langham Place Hotel near PEK T3.

Do we need a visa during a 19 hour layover?
Is this something I need to apply for prior to departure from Canada?
What is the procedure on getting a Visa for an overnight layover (connecting through Beijing on route to Manila)

Joe, you enjoy 24 hours visa-free transit. But if you want to leave the airport for an overnight layover in the hotel, you need to apply for a stay permit at PEK.

How can I apply for the visa? Can I do it upon arrival at PEk? Is there a cost? Does the process take long?
Thanks for your help

The stay permit is not visa. You can apply for it at the customs inspection station at the PEK. There is no charge for the permit and you can get it on the spot.
