i want to study at an art school in beijing, what type of visa do i need?

I'll be applying to the CGS scholarship in a few more years (for Fine Arts Bachelor) but I've been planning to immerse myself into the competitive chinese preparation first, and that means getting into an art academy to properly fulfill the talent requirements. My question is, the duration of the whole study and preparation is an entire year, how can I do to study one year at this private art academy? what kind of visa would I need? Can they give me some admission letter though they are a private school? Thank you.

Alessandra, you can apply for a student X1 type for your study in China. The student X1 type will allow you to apply for a temporary residence permit which will allow you to stay in China for one year to pursue your studies. The school can give you the admission letter.
