I will be traveling alone from Beijing to Wudangshan. I have never traveled by rail. Trying to figure out which ones to choose - bottom bunk or top bunk in soft sleeper train. I would probably lie down only during night time but would like to watch out through the window (and by the window) during the day and enjoy the country side. Please advice. Thanks a bunch

lower bunks are indeed more convenient during daytime since you can sat on your own bed, however, this also means there may be a chance other passengers on upper bunk in your cabin may sat on your bed as well. but generally speaking, i think lower bunk is better if you do not mind that kind of sharing.
