Book a soft sleeper bunk rather than individual booking

the soft sleeper bunk has 4 beds, but we have three of us. is it possible for us to book the whole bunk as we are not comfortable to share with others who we don't know.

Based on the real-name policy, one can only buy one ticket. Thus you cannot get 4 for 3 people.

The real-name policy does not stop you from buying the 4th bed for another person who doesn't travel, such as your other Singapore friend. So you can still get the whole bunk to the 3 of you.

But if I buy the ticket now, can you guarantee that the bunk bed is in the same?

If you buy online, no one can guarantee a full compartment for you, as the tickets in China are sold randomly. But they have chances to try some times, and normally, if there are sufficent seats/beds left, they can get one whole bunk easily. You can find a reliable agency to arrange it for you.
