144 hour transit visa, what is meant by confirmed seat?

Question

The regulations state that you must have a valid travel ticket and confirmed seat,  my onward flight is booked but I will not normally get a seat number until check in unless I pay extra.  Do I need to do this or is the reference to confirmed seat just to distinguish it from a standby booking?Thanks,Richard

Richard, based on my understating, you need to provide a valid confirmed ticket with confirmed data and seat. It is the reference to confirmed seat mainly to distinguish it from a standby booking.
