Hi, how to exactly interpret Ticket ... with confirmed seat and date?Mostly only a reservation of a flight is availabe, but there is no assigned/confirmed seat and real flight ticket is not available. Often the passenger receives both the flight ticket and the assigned seat only at an airport check-in desk (Sichuan Airlines, Hainan Airlines for example and a lot of other ones do not allow online check-in at all), or let's say max. 48 hours before flight if airlines allow online check-in. They really need to fix the wording. The phrase simply means that you have a confirmed (not standby) ticket. Immigration can care less where you sit on a plane but they do care whether you can board said plane (a stand-by ticket means that you will only allowed to board if there are empty seats after all passengers have boarded). Also all tickets are digitized and you won't have an actual ticket, but only a 14-digit ticket number along with the purchase confirmation (which is what immigration wants to see). What you receive at the check-in counter is only the boarding pass.
