About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Flying in to Shanghai and leaving on a cruiseship

My question is whether we can enter China(Shanghai) on the 72 hour transit visa with the following itinerary:

We will be arriving at Shanghai Dupont AirPort on 25.01.17 at 11.50. We will be staying at a hotel in Shanghai from 25.01.17 til 26.01.17. On the 26.01.17 at 8.00 PM we will be boarding a cruiseship from the port of Baoshan in Shanghai. The cruiseship will head for Japan and as a Danish citizen we can enter Japan without a visa.

Lone, if the last country you fly from is not Japan, you can enjoy the 144 hour free transit in Shanghai, and then no visa will be needed. Have a good time!
