About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

can i go from taiwan and return to taiwan?

Hi, I have a return ticket to Shanghai from Taipei. Is it possible to stay for 3 days without a visa leaving taiwan and coming back to taiwan? Thank you!

No it´s not ok.
You have to fly to a third country.

We have flight ticket from Prague PRG via Beijing PEK do Shanghai PVG. Can we required 72h free transit and after that fly to Taiwan? Thank you for clarification.

Of course, you can. If you try like Japan-Shanghai-Japan, you need to apply for a tourist L type entry permit in advance. Besides, you will fly to Taiwan and it won’t be a transit any more.

This itinerary is not compliant for 72 hours transit without visa because it has two stops in China. Therefore only 24 hours in China is allowed.
