About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Do you have to transit to a third country or can you return to same country?

I am flying from Taiwan to China staying 3 days and then flying back to Taiwan. All info for 72 and 144 hour visas say you must transit "to a third country". Does this mean I am not eligible since I am returning to Taiwan? My passport is from the Netherlands. I do not need a visa for Taiwan.

Yes you're not eligible as you don't fly to a third country.
