Can an Australian on tourist visa apply for chinese entry permit in Spain?

As per the question - I'm in Spain on a tourist entry permit (student entry permit recently expire), anyone know if Australian citizens can still apply for a chinese entry permit? (need one for 1 week)

Jiminy, I’m afraid it’s risky if you don’t have Spain residence permit. You’d better go back to Australia to apply from there.
