About:Visa Policy of China

I am Japanese but my passport is less than 4 months valid, but will stay only 3 days , am I allowed

I need to go to Shanghai for 3 days, but my passport is expiring in less than 4 months, am I still allowed to go to China. I am a Japanese national, but will be coming from Australia.
