About:Hong Kong Airport Express Travel Pass

On December 22nd we will ending our cruise in Hong Kong.

From the harbour to the hotel near Sheung Wan station, does it make sens to consider using public transportation or a taxi and at what cost about?

To this, on December 23rd we are planning to use the Airport Express transportation. Considering those, what, when and where would be our best option to buy regarding public transportation pass and is cost?

Finally, beside a sight-seeing tour of the city, which attractions should we focus on?

Your cruise will reach HK Macau Ferry Terminal, right? It is about 300 yards to the north of Sheung Wan Station. You needn't use public transport or taxi. Just walk there within 5 minutes.

You can buy a Standard Octopus Card, which can be used to ride on Airport Express, MTR, Light Rail, buses, taxis, ferries, trams, and even go shopping. Each adult pay HKD 50 as the refundable deposit, and HKD 100 as the minimum stored value. Each child aged 3 to 11 pay HKD 50 as the refundable deposit, and HKD 20 as the minimum stored value. The cards are available at MTR Customer Service Centres, Light Rail Customer Service Centres, etc. The opening time of the service centers is the same with that of the metro service.

The must-see attractions are Big Buddha & Po Lin Monastery, Ocean Park, Victoria Peak, Causeway Bay, Tsim Sha Tsui & A Symphony of Lights, and Stanley Market. You can choose some according to your interest. Have a nice trip! :)
