About:China Transit Visa

I hold a Malaysian passport and will be flying from DEL to SFO, transiting in China.

From DEL, I will arrive in Guangzhou (CAN) for a 5-hour layover. Then I fly to WuHan (WUH) for another 1.5 hours layover, and then on to SFO. I understand there may not be a problem from DEL to CAN but I heard that from CAN, I will arrive at the domestic terminal in WUH and then have to take a shuttle to the WUH international terminal. This may be considered as having entered China so some people are saying I may need a visa. I think that is ridiculous since it is only for a transit. Does anyone know for sure? Thanks.

I don’t think you need an entry permit because your total layover time in PRC is less than 24 hours, you will qualify for the 24 hour direct transit.
