About:Transfer in T3 of Beijing Capital Airport

I am flying from BKK to SFO, through PEK. I am on Thai Airways to PEK, but United PEK to SFO.

The check in agent told that that since it was all star alliance, I would not need to pickup my bags in PEK. Since I am changing airlines, do I need to go through customs and re-check in on the concourse? Or is there a way to go to a counter through transit. I currently do not have a boarding pass for the United flight. (Last minute question)

You don't need to collect the luggage and reclaim them at PEK because it's international to international transfer both in T3.
The correct transfer procedures are Flight Arrival - Transfer Procedures - Stamped on Boarding Pass - Security Check - Custom Inspection - Waiting & Boarding.
As I know, there is a special passageway for international transfer passengers. And a lot of detailed English signs at the airport will help you a lot. Don't worry. :)
