About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

U.K. To Shanghai then Hong Kong

I'm travelling from uk via Dubai to Shanghai. Staying in Shanghai for 3 days then on to hong Kong for a further 3 days. Will the 144 hour non visa rule apply ?
