Travelling from Shenzhen to Hongkong/Macau and back to Shenzhen

Hi!
I am Austrian Citizen and so i allowed to stay 30 days in China without a Visa.
I plan to fly from Vienna/Austria to Shenzhen, go by Train to Hongkong and Macau and will stay there for approx 2 or 3 days. Afterwards i want to travel back to Shenzhen.
Is that allowed without any Problems or do i need a special permit?
Thx in advance!

You can proceed with your travel plan without any problem. Since you can exit and enter mainland China to any direction and by using any available border crossing, you do not need anything beside your passport. You do not need any special permits or similar/other stuff. Basically, you will perform this in a very similar way as if you were traveling to UK. Have a nice journey.
