From Suzhou to Shanghai Disneyland

HI, We are staying at the Intercontinental Hotel in Suzhou but want to do a day trip to Disneyland.
Would it be better to take a train to Hongqiao OR Shanghai downtown, (then a subway to Disneyland). with the train from suzhou, and subway to disneyland, how long would that trip take (each way) and approximately how many US dollars or yuan for transportation (we would pay for 2nd class seats)?
