About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Can I travel on 2 tickets?

It is more cost effective if I purchase my ticket from the US to Taipei & PEK (Beijing) to the US then a separate ticket for Taipei to PEK (Beijing). As long as my stay is less than 24 hours, will this be OK?

Megan, two separate tickets are okay. If you stop in Beijing for less than 24 hours when traveling like US-Taipei-Beijing-US, you will be able to make use of the 24 hour direct transit in Beijing.
