About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

London- shanghai and then Shanghai- Tokyo- shanghai

I have booked a return flight from Lhr to Shanghai 22-7-17/ 11-8-17. I have then booked a separate return flight from Shanghai to Tokyo 23-7-17 / 5-8-17. My question is would my stay in Shanghai from the 5-8-17 until 11-8-17 qualify under the 144 hour free rule. Thanks in advance.
