About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Tokyo - Shanghai - Tokyo

we are living in Tokyo, will travel to Shanghai for 4 days. I'm Korean, my husband is French.
so Flight ticket will be Tokyo to Shanghai, after Shanghai to Tokyo. will use pudong airport.
in this case, do we need visa or covered by 144 hours free transit?

Ken, if so, you are not eligible for the 144 hour free transit in Shanghai because you will fly back to Japan after stopping in PRC. You need to apply for a tourist L type ahead of time.
