About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Flying into Shanghai

I am an American citizen currently in Tokyo.
Tomorrow I fly to Shanghai, stay for 24 hours and then fly Shanghai-Beijing (2 hour layover)-Tel Aviv. Is this possible with the 72 hour visa?

Ben, you had better take a direct flight from Shanghai to Tel Aviv if there is. Or you can choose one that stops over a third country. The layover in Beijing makes you not eligble for the 72-hour free transit policy.
