About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

have return ticket to beijing. 72 hr transit before travel to taipei?

I have return ticket to beijing and single entry tourist visa. Can I stay in beijing for 2 days using 72 hour free transit then fly to taipei. Then taipei back to beijing enter using my chinese single entry permit? I have uk passport. Thanks

Yes, you can. When you first enter Beijing, you should tell the immigration officer that you want to use the 72-hour free transit by showing the flight ticket to Taipei to avoid the officer wrongly stamping on your single-entry permit.
