About:China Tourist Visa

visiting Shanghai and during stay planned to go across to Japan for a couple of days and then return

to shanghai. would i need a double entry visa. if so do i need a different application form

Ronnie, if you go from a country to Shanghai and then go to Japan within 144 hours, you can use the 144-hour free transit policy. If you get back from Japan to Shanghai and then to a different country within 144 hours, you can use this free transit policy again. In this case, you don't need the entry permit.
