About:Shanghai City-Bus

I want to know which Bus Route should I take to Grand Mercure Shanghai Central

Which Route can I use from Hongqiao Airport to the hotel (330 Meiyuan Road, Zhabei District) and and is there a bus stop close by. Please help me out I am to travel in a weeks time.

After landing, go from your landing terminal to the Hongqiao East Transport Hub to take bus no. 941. Get off at the South Square of local Main Railway Station. Your hotel will be within 500yd away. In this way, it takes only 2RMB and the duration is 60-70min.

Or you can take subway instead. Take line 10 at the airport to South Shaanxi Road, where you can transfer to line 1 to the Main Railway Station. Walk to the hotel afterwards. The fare is CNY5 for the whole trip and it takes only 45min.

I am staying at the same hotel, except my flight lands at 10:30pm and I believe the last bus for 941 leaves at 23:00. It looks like I may miss it, is this the only way to the hotel apart from private transfers/taxi?

The Grand Mercure Hotel is supposed to have their own shuttle bus service but I haven't heard back from them.

Yes, beside this public bus, you need to take a taxi from the airport to your hotel. In general, it costs CNY 80-90 at that time.
