About:Requirements for China Green Card (Permanent Residence Permit)

Do I need to book a return flight

I am looking at getting a L type with a letter of invite. When I apply for the visa do I have to show booked flight details for return to the UK?

If you have the invitation letter, the round trip air tickets may not be needed any more.
