About:China Transit Visa

Hi I have a pakistani Passport and I work in Canada (Post Grad Work Permit).

I'm flying to Pakistan from Canada Via Beijing,
(1) Do i need a transit G type if I plan on getting out for less than 24 hours.
(2) Do i need a transit G type if I don't plan on getting out (my stop over is 2 hours)
(3) What visa do i need if i plan on taking a stop over less than 48 hours.

1. If the layover time is less than 24 hours, no transit G type is needed because you can use the 24 hour direct transit. You can apply for a free temporary stay permit at the immigration office and then you can leave the airport.
2. No transit G type is needed either because you qualify for the 24 hour direct transit.
3. If it is more than 24 hours, you should apply for a transit G type in advance.
