Hi there! If you travel like Bangkok-Shanghai-Bangkok, you cannot enjoy the 72 hour free transit in Shanghai. After staying in Shanghai, you should fly to a third country or region. So if you travel like Bangkok-Shanghai-Kuala Lumpur, and stay in Shanghai for less than 72 hours, you can enjoy the 72 hour free transit there.
