Can i go out from the airport during 13hrs transit?

I'm travelling from France to Malaysia and transiting in Shanghai for 13hrs, can I leave the airport to city during the transit time? I have a Malaysian passport.

Yes, you can leave the airport during transit time. What you need to do is to apply for a temporary stay permit at the airport before you leave.
