About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Im from spain and I'll be having my layover in shanghai (15hrs). my questions are:

1. Is it easy to apply transit visa and how?
2. if so, what are the things/papers i have to show returning back to the airport?

As I know, Spanish passport holders now can visit China visa-free for at most 15 days so no visa is needed.
