About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

I am travelling from Canada to Beijing. I am staying less than 72 hours.

I will be then travelling to Hong Kong by plane. I will be returning to Canada from Hong Kong. Do I need a visa or can I use the exemption?

Hi Paul! You can use the 72h transit permit exemption policy.

Thanks Lisa! Just another thing. So I will be flying in and out on Air Canada. I will book a one way ticket on a local carrier to get from Beijing to HK. So upon landing in Beijing, will I show customs and immigration the one way ticket?

Arrival to PEK on April 1,2:10PM
Depart PEK for HKG April 4,7:25AM this timeline should keep me under the 72 hour window.

Paul, you need to show the one-way ticket to the customs and immigration.
