About:Chinese Embassies and Consulates

I have a question about the work permit.

I'm working in PRC now and I have work permit. My company is insisting that they should keep the work permit and I cannot keep it with myself.
I think the work permit should be with me not with the company that I am working now. Am I right? if yes, Please send me a link to the law so I can prove it.

Thanks in advance,
Regards

In principle, you should keep the work permit with yourself. But some companies are worried that the employees may leave, companies want to keep the work permit. I’m afraid there is no such a law. You should consult about this problem with your employer.
