About:China Visa

Do UK citizens need a visa for a 16hour cruise excursion in Shanghai.

We are UK citizens on a cruise ship. We will be docking in Shanghai for 16 hours . Do we need an entry permit as Shanghai is the only mainland port we are visiting. We will be coming from Nagasaki and the onward port is Okinawa and then Taiwan.

Barbara, you need to apply for a visa because you arrive from Japan and then back to Japan. The free transit policy does not apply to you.
