About:Chinese Consulate in Toronto

How long should my Canadian passport be valid after my trip to China which ends Dec. 15 ,2016?

As long as you can make sure you will leave before your passport expires, it's fine. However, if you don't have a China visa at present, you should renew your passport before applying for it.
