About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Do I need a visa for entering China in less than one day stay?

We are British and Swiss nationals having a stop in Hongkong for 3 days before returning to Switzerland. We would like to go to Guangzhou for a quick visit of less than 24 Hrs to pay respect to our great grand parents graves.

Loi, if you travel like HK-Guangzhou-Switzerland and your stay in Guangzhou is less than 24 hours, you can enjoy the 24 hour direct transit in Guangzhou. No entry permit is needed then.
